The boot and shoe assignments

Between 1989 and 2016 I lived in Northamptonshire, a county which for many centuries was the centre of shoe production in the British Isles. There, I lived a blame-free existence, quietly running Editmaster, until a chance meeting with a Mr Schneider of Minneapolis suddenly widened the scope of my activities. Previously, I had occasionally been commissioned by analysts and publishers to write marketing assessments, media analyses, industry yearbooks and various other quite dry reports, but Mr Schneider wanted me to write about shoes – for shoe snobs. This actually proved to be great fun.

For those with an interest in men’s shoes, the following links to some of my boot and shoe articles may (I hope) fortify your knowledge. (My apologies for any advertisements that pop up.)
